Medical Help & Safety
Camp Pugwash is proud of it’s safety record. A nurse is available at the camp clinic 24 hours a day. Camp Pugwash is not staffed to provide a full service special medical needs program. Medication that your child may need during the week must be left in our camp clinic, with special instructions on dosage amounts and frequency etc.
Important: The camper’s health history form (which you will receive along with your confirmation) must be completed by the camper’s parent/guardian, no more than 7 days prior to camp. This form will be emailed to you the week before your registered week of camp. Please Note: Camp Pugwash has limited accident insurance. The camp will provide the primary coverage to a certain level and family insurance will be secondary. Health insurance remains the family’s responsibility, i.e. flu, earaches, and other personal health issues.
Campers with special dietary needs due to allergies is a challenge, especially with the volume of campers being served each meal. We want all kids to be able to come to camp regardless of dietary needs. Click the links below to download and print guidelines on how we can partner to do this.
