Meet the 2018 Staff

Teresa Ferreira, Camp Director

“Welcome to Camp Pugwash! I am excited to serve as your Camp Director this Summer! I am joined in the Maritime Conference by my husband, Brian, and my daughter, Sophia (both pictured) — we are #3Ministers4HIM. I was born in New Brunswick, moved to Ontario when I was 10 and spent 17 years in the US being educated and serving in our Adventist Educational Institutions, including two years abroad teaching in Taiwan and China. God called me back to Canada in 2013, and I’ve been serving Him in some form of leadership within our Church since then. Since my very first job interview in Michigan I have said that my passion is to ‘keep young people in our Church and on fire for Jesus’! One of my favourite texts is Psalm 16:8 – ‘I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken’.”

Jane McClair, Camp Secretary

“I have been attending or working at summer camps since I was 9 years old. I first worked at Camp Pugwash over 20 years ago when I introduced my children to camp, and they hold the summer camp experience as dear to their hearts as I do. I work as a TA in a local elementary school and camp is definitely an important extension of school and church in teaching children so many life lessons. But more than that, showing campers of all ages the love of God in a safe and beautiful outdoor environment, where campers can experience getting to know my greatest friend Jesus, is an exciting and a crucial part of my life.”

Ron Fall, Maintenance Director/Caretaker

Heather Harrington, Food Service Director

“Hi! I’m Heather Harrington and I’ll be the Food Service Director this summer. I’ve been privileged to work at this amazing ocean-front camp for 28 summers! I was raised as a missionary kid in Africa, Taiwan, Indonesia and Singapore. I’ve also lived in Alberta, Tennessee, South Korea and New Brunswick, and I currently reside in Nova Scotia. I’ve circled the globe 4 1/2 times and have parachuted solo 5000 feet.”
